Next week in maths, we will be learning to share different quantities of objects between three or more groups. We will complete practical activities e.g. sharing Duplo between teddies and treasure between alien pirates. We will then apply this to a range of word problems.
In topic next, we will listen to and answer questions about the story ‘The Way Back Home’ by Oliver Jeffers. We will also be researching the different types of stars in our solar system (Red Dwarf, Yellow stars, Blue stars) and discussing what a shooting star is. After, we will design our very own planet and write about it. Towards the end the week, we will listen to a story which explores Earth and how we can help to look after it.
In phonics we will continue to use a range of practical activities and games to help us blend and segment words containing the phase 2 and 3 sounds we already know.
